The band are doing a small tour before the release of the new single and album. They’re playing:

Doves new album is called ‘Kingdom Of Rust’, and will be released in the UK by Heavenly on 9 April. The tracklisting is:

  3. The Outsiders
  4. Winter Hill

  6. The Greatest Denier
  7. Birds Flew Backwards
  8. Spellbound
  9. Compulsion
  10. House Of Mirrors

The title track will be released as a single the week before, on 30 March.

This is probably old news now for a lot of you reading this, but there are some pictures of the band up on their MySpace blog. They’re from a recent recording session.

Two very exciting things to look out for:

  2. Jimi’s footwear

Big news from the band, from Andy via the band’s forum: the new album is (almost!) finished. It’s still being mixed, not is not far from being complete. The track listing will be decided upon, and then that’s it. Album 4 in the can.

It’s due out sometime in April, and will accompanied by a small UK tour, with more dates to follow once the album’s out.

According to an article on Billboard.com, the first single to be released will be Kingdom Of Rust. Click on the link below to read the full story.

NME are reporting that Jimi have been added to the bill of the Forever Heavenly gig at In The City.

Jimi will be performing a solo acoustic set, alongside Cherry Ghost, Edwyn Collins, John Head from Shack and others.

UPDATE: The band’s managment have said that Jimi won’t be playing a solo set proper. He’ll be playing a couple of songs - most likely covers - and will be joined onstage with Cherry Ghost.
